I can feel my throat close tightly
Around the words I'll never get to say
And my breath catches slightly
When I realize you're too far away

You put all these ideas in my head
You were the one to create these dreams
So how come you're the one who's fled
While mine are the tears that gleam?

If I could just turn away from you
I would walk away from everything
Away from all you put me through
From your every word like a sting

I don't think that you can understand
That with this you are breaking my heart
I know that this isn't what you had planned
But you're the one who's tearing it apart
