Moving On

You and everyone I know keep telling me
That I need to move on from the past
Let me tell you, I completely disagree
And it all happened way too fast

I didn't ask god to take you away
So don't expect me to just get over it
It's not like you decided to not stay
Even if I try to hate you, it wont be legit

If I find someone else I'll be happy, so you say
How would you know? 'Cuz I seriously doubt it
I Wont even give that thought the time of day
So you and everyone else can go ahead and quit

Obviously you don't know the the extent of my love for you
I'm not going to stop living just because you're gone
Don't worry; I'm still going to see my life through
Even though you're not here, the sun still rises every dawn

But don't expect me to just pick up with someone else
I can live my life perfectly with just the memories of us
I don't need someone else to light the shadows on my face
So don't try to change my mind; it will remain forever thus
